Prayer for Special Occasions - S4-002

Thou who has sent light into the hearts of all, fill us with the love that you shared through Bethlehem’s cradle. In the warmth of your Spirit, we feel nearer to one another; may we approach the peace that He has brought to all who receive Him.

May this season be one that creates within each mind the knowledge of your way; rekindle the desire for nobler service to the weak and helpless of the world. Help us to give the gift of kindness to those who are less fortunate than we and make real the Spirit of Christ.

We especially, remember those of other lands where there is poverty, and where so little is given to meet their great emergency. Give to our nation and others the spirit of generosity. Make us aware of our obligation to share our blessings. Remind us of your words, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” In His name we pray. Amen
